George Reis joined EY Law as an associate lawyer in 1998. He became a partner in 2005 and a managing partner in 2012. As managing partner of the immigration practice at EY Law, George leads a team of over 240 US and Canadian immigration professionals in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. She is also an active volunteer who currently holds the position of Vice Chair on the board of the Centre for Newcomers, one of the largest settlement agencies in Calgary. Roxanne has a long history of service with the Canadian Bar Association as past chair of the Southern Alberta Immigration Section and as an elected member of the National CBA Immigration Section for several years. Roxanne also acted as a board director with the United Nations Association of Canada – Calgary branch for five years.
Roxanne is frequently called upon as a speaker on topics related to Canadian immigration and is a past co-editor of Canada’s Immigration & Citizenship Bulletin published by Thomson Reuters Canada. She is recognized by Who’s Who Legal Canada and Chambers and Partners as one of the leading corporate immigration practitioners in Canada.

As a partner in EY Law’s Business Immigration practice, Jonathan Leebosh leads the Canadian and cross-border NAFTA Immigration practice. He provides a wide range of legal services, including offering strategic advice to businesses on policy and immigration program development, as well as assisting in the preparation and submission of applications for permanent residence status, work permits, citizenship, passport matters, and customs issues in Canada.
He has worked in Latin America and Asia, including a period as a field officer in the Hong Kong Office of the Chief of Mission for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), where he played a key role in the development and implementation of UNHCR’s policy for the protection of and assistance to asylum seekers and refugees. Jonathan continues his international efforts at EY Law, where he works with tax and human resources professionals to relocate foreign nationals to Canada and the US, as well as Canadian expatriates to foreign jurisdictions. Jonathan speaks French and Spanish, and also has experience practicing criminal law.
Jonathan is a certified Specialist in Citizenship and Immigration Law (Law Society of Upper Canada), and he is the co-editor of the monthly Thomson Reuters publication, Immigration and Citizenship Bulletin. He has written numerous articles and is frequently asked to speak on immigration-related subjects. An experienced business immigration practitioner licensed to practice in Canada and the US, Alex Israel is a partner at EY Law. He has assisted some of the country’s largest companies with US immigration and citizenship matters. His experience includes successfully managing and directing the US immigration processes for Fortune 500 clients and start-up companies, as well as routinely making legal arguments to federal government agencies. Alex oversees a team of US attorneys and paralegals who deliver services to our clients.
