Bruce Andrews is an experienced agri-food executive whose career has been rooted in Atlantic Canadian agriculture. His background includes feed production and retail, territory sales and animal nutrition, regional swine management, and beef purchasing and procurement. At Atlantic Beef Products, Andrews advanced through increasingly senior roles in procurement, logistics and operations, ultimately serving as vice president of operations. In 2026, he was appointed president and CEO of Atlantic Beef Products, bringing extensive experience in livestock procurement, producer relations, operations, and the broader beef industry to the leadership role.

Russ Mallard is a senior agri-food executive and governance leader with extensive experience in business growth, organizational leadership, and industry advocacy. He served as president of Atlantic Beef Products for more than 11 years, until March 2026, leading significant growth, market expansion, and operational development. Mallard has also held senior board leadership roles with the Canada Meat Council, including chair, and has contributed extensively to Canada Beef and the Canadian Beef Check-Off Agency. Earlier in his career, he built and sold a successful foodservice business and worked in consulting, sales training, and executive development.

Krishna Burugadda is a human resources professional with experience in recruitment, employee relations, collective bargaining, and workforce development. He also holds the CHRP designation. As human resources manager at Atlantic Beef Products, Burugadda supports employee engagement, inclusive recruitment, and policies that strengthen the employee experience. His approach centres on building a respectful, supportive workplace where people feel valued and have opportunities to grow.

Nazar Hussain is quality assurance manager at ABPI, overseeing food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. He holds credentials in food and agricultural engineering, water management, and precision agriculture and a master’s in sustainability, with expertise in program and procedure development, HACCP, internal auditing, and animal welfare. Hussain has led the review and enhancement of HACCP plans, developed programs for new value-added projects, led ongoing employee training, significantly reduced non-compliance issues, and consistently earned top ratings in third-party audits. He also manages the CFIA SIP system and ensures the facility’s programs comply with CFIA, Health Canada, third-party audits, and import/export requirements.

Sandra Longley is an experienced management professional with a career spanning hospitality, human resources, retail, and insurance. Her early leadership experience in food service led to a transition into human resources and employee relations within the retail sector. She then spent 14 years in the insurance industry, progressing to personal lines underwriting supervisor in the home and auto division. Longley joined Atlantic Beef Products five years ago and currently serves as payroll, compensation, and benefits manager, overseeing payroll, employee benefits, and pension administration. She is committed to supporting employees and contributing to the continued success of the organization.

Andre LeBlanc is the director of sales at Atlantic Beef Products, where he leads sales growth, customer relationships, and market development initiatives across Canada and international markets. With extensive experience in the food industry, LeBlanc works closely with retailers, foodservice operators, distributors, and export partners to deliver premium Canadian beef products. He is passionate about building strong business relationships, creating value for customers, and expanding market opportunities. Known for his practical industry knowledge and customer-focused approach, LeBlanc plays a key role in advancing the company’s reputation for quality, consistency, and exceptional service.

Willyard currently serves as operations manager at Atlantic Beef Products.

Atlantic Beef Products Inc. (ABPI), located in Albany, Prince Edward Island, is Atlantic Canada’s only federally inspected beef processing facility. Incorporated in 2003 and commencing production in 2004, the company was established to provide Atlantic Canadian cattle producers with access to a modern, regionally based processing facility.
ABPI processes beef and dairy cattle and supplies high-quality beef cuts, ground beef, and value-added products to retail, foodservice, and further-processing customers across Canada and in international markets. Its branded programs include Blue Dot Reserve™, Certified Island Beef™, and Island View Farms™.
The company operates a state-of-the-art facility under Canadian Food Inspection Agency oversight and maintains internationally recognized food-safety standards, including BRCGS certification. ABPI works closely with cattle producers throughout Atlantic Canada and plays an important role in supporting the region’s agricultural economy.
With 198 employees, a growing market presence, and a strong focus on quality, food safety, traceability, and customer service, Atlantic Beef Products has grown into a significant Atlantic Canadian food processor and an important link between regional beef producers and domestic and international customers.
